So... how do you follow up Vesha Valentine. I have over the months thought long and hard and come up with a ton of characters and storylines. So much so I decided to put 2 of my favourites into one book and all the other stories I had will go in as concepts in a gallery. The book will be entitled PULPHOUSE. Here is a preview of the first character Carmen Robihna in A GUN FOR CARMEN. A bit of an anti-hero Carmen is a Gangster's moll who tries to scars her lover in a fit of jealous rage after finding him in bed with another woman...it all goes downhill for Carmen after that.

" A KISS IN THE KNIGHT" Is the second story in the Novel will center on a glamorous international jewel thief named Tiffany Knight.This will have a different romantic twist to it as she is trying to steal a priceless gem from the father of a man she falls in love with.I look to having this book finished for October.Will post more art from this book soon.Hope you like!

Over the weekend DesPop exhibited at Kapow, London's Comic Con. It has been a very eventful and successful weekend of comics, fun, meeting exciting people and gathering more fans of Des Taylor's artwork. Des Taylor has been amongst a few other artist that achieved 'the fastest ever created comic book', which granted them a place in the Guinness Book of Records. Des also spoke to Kick Ass creator, Mark Millar about Comics and future work. Thank you to everyone that purchased a piece of artwork and for your kind words and support! THE VESHA VALENTINE STORY BOOK LAUNCH PARTY, Watford.
Kicked off on Monday the 14th at the fantastic venue, BODEGA .
Fun was had by all attended due to the VV art on sale (that made
many people a great Valentines gift) and the fantastic model
Nina Hearne who portrayed the character to raptuous applause.
The only thing missing was the Pussy CAt Dolls!!
Plans are in order to bring a little burlesque to the venue later in
the year.

I thank all who came (especially my guest of honor Chameleon Visual's
EMMA DAVIDGE (- Window Display/designer for the world's leading fashion
brands) that made this Valentine's day a memorable one. Special credits
go to GINGERCUPS for creating the delightful cupcakes that everyone
was scoffing like crackheads and the staff of BODEGA who really put

Just finished the first part of the new Digital book, SCARLETT COUTURE. These are pages from part one of the "VIVA LAS VEGAS" storyline. The first part is 48 pages of sexy Scarlett and her crew investigating the deaths of three fashion models.

In my latest book THE VESHA VALENTINE STORY I have introduced a character based on a friend of mine named Emma Davidge.
Meet Emma D'Varge (spelled Duh, varj, ay) a 1950's version.
The character has a cameo in a part of the story explaining who creates Vesha's lavish wardrobe and costume design. D'varge is a massive cosmetic and fashion empire (like CHANEL) run by Emma D'varge, who takes Vesha to be the face of her company through her movie career.

The other stars are my friend Emma's cats that appear in this piece of art.

It's no secret I'm a fan of Pulp tales, Crime Fiction and art from this genre. In my spare time (which amounts to a few hours a day ) I am looking to develop this character
named BLU. She's a Vice Cop that has been double crossed by her fellow Police Officers
during a drug bust. Shot and left for dead, she returns a bit angry and looks to settle
a score with the dirty cops that betrayed her.

I am looking to develop a range of characters that will feature in an anthology of pulp
tales. Soon as I get my other projects out of the way.

FINALLY!! I've agreed on a cover for Vesha's book!

I wanted to convey the concept that she is a star and went for a

60's "Brady Bunch" title look.

The book is coming together nicely now and I will soon put up some of my favourite images so far.
PS. I know that somehow my mind will change on this cover design in a week.

Here are a few pages from my project "The Blue Lotus".

When she is not kicking ass around the city, Grace Gilmore

does find the time to socialize. In this scene she is taken out on a date to the 'Chip Martin Show' where two lucky people get to dance off on the Wonderland A Go-Go spot with a very special

guest JAAAAAAAAMMMES BRRRROWN!!

Can you dig it?

Hey, it is set in the 60's.

Just to show you how much of a bad ass the Lotus is here is a

page on the villains she has taken down in the last month in the

city of Wonderland.

Wonderland is a vast Metropolis of casinos, clubs, bars and

other entertainment. Think of Vegas mixed with Amsterdam but 10 times the fun. Some parts can be a very dangerous

place as it is split up into territories that certain crime bosses rule over.

The Blue Lotus's goal is to rid the city of these bosses but she

comes across one that may just be a bit too much for her.

THE BRAIN!! A multi-talented, mastermind thats sole goal

is to rule Wonderland and kick the Lotus's ass.....WELL!!

Snoochy Boochies,noochies!

At some point in my already loaded project file I am going to work on the great, full time, sexy nutcase, Alex Sim-Wise's

project Alma Mater.

I have had this one in the tank for about a year now when I met Alex on an FHM shoot (long story). After finding out how much of a comic geek and games head she was we hit it off.

Totally clued up on her genre of Horror, Zombie flicks and books she came up with her own brand/concept which will be a

mix of St.Trinians meets the Warriors meets From Dusk Till Dawn.

Here is a glimpse of the characters for this project.

The lead character Audrey has a slight resemblence to Miss

Sim-Wise. Little does she know my inspiration forher came from a picture of my good friend Laura Kawa. Hahahahaha!

I shall be all over this like deodorant once I get the other

projects out of the way.

Blue Lotus- Next in the chamber

As well as Vesha I have my first crimefighter character- The Blue Lotus. A lot of work is going into this one as it is set in the 1960's. Iv'e been researching like a mutha the dress, the cars, the whole feel as well as the city she fights crime in- WONDERLAND! Like a really Gynormous Vegas, mixed with Harlem, Paris and Amsterdam. The city is split in sections where rival crimelords fight it out for each others territory.

The Blue Lotus, aka Grace Gilmore has a lot of Eastern mythology going on around her to as she is being trained by an old Lady Ninja in the ways of Ninjitsu and other martial arts.

I have dratically rethought the main villain though after seeing a poster of a famous pop star of the 80's.

More will be revealed when I post up a sketch later

Vesha Valentine Book

Been away from this blog since Xmas I think but what can I say....I'm a busy man. I've been working solid on the character I'm beginning to fall in love with - Vesha Valentine. It is such a joy to illustrate her and I am putting the effort in to finish this book by September. Here are the latest musings I've created for the book.

Still not 100% on the cover though.

I may conjure up something a little less booby. Been in touch with several publishers with this but I have one in mind I want this to go with.

Hopefully all shall be revealed soon.

CLASSIC SUPERMAN

Got the flu. What do I do? Felt like drawing Superman. The character cheers me up when I'm gloomy. Love the old feel of

Superman and what he stood for in the 40's and 50's.

Not feeling today's character. Too powerful and bores me to death with the amount of powerful aliens he fights.

Superman's weakness should stem from the fact that he can't be everywhere and save everyone...for all of his powers.

Anyhoo..... I'm going to get some LEMSIP.

Agent or Hooker?

Something I have in the pipeline. A story of an assassin gaining revenge on an old crime boss.

Been talking with fellow comic nut and creator Kevin Freeman over at APE COMICS about developing her.

He has come up with the idea that she should be a government agent but since I have that in another creation of mine - Scarlett Couture, I have the desire to make her a hooker with a professional killer past.

These are just a few of the action shots that I have to visualize what is in my head.
